Welcome to the Portfolio page of JvdB Photography.

A short introduction to let you know who I am.
My name is Jochem van der Blom and I'm a Dutch photographer with a passion for Landscape, Cityscape and Macro Photography.
Born in 1979 in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Raised in a small village near Utrecht and moved over to another village in the part of the Netherlands which is famous for her fruit orchards when I was 11 years old and where I still live nowadays with my lovey wife, 2 boys and a Welsh Springer Spaniel dog named Abby.
As photography was quite a common hobby in our family, it didn't take long before I was grabbing my dads camera to take pictures of anything which popped up in front of me. After a while I bought, after using several compact's, my first own SLR camera: a Nikon F75. After loosing my inspiration for many years I decided to pick up this magnificent hobby again and invested, again, in a Nikon camera. This time it was a DSLR, the Nikon D5100 with the 18-105mm lens and a Tokina 12-24mm F4 lens. Using that for a year I updated this body to a D7100 with a Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 Art series lens. As landscape and cityscape photography took more and more of my interest, I had the need for a full frame sensor. So, I sold the D7100 after using it for a year and bought myself a Nikon D750 with a Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 and a Samyang 14mm f2.8 for ultra wide shots. Now this setup, together with my Tamron 90mm f2.8 macro, is still active and is my daily gear to take marvellous shots with.

All my images are for sale, so if you like to decorate your living, bedroom, offices or whatsoever with one of my images, please contact me for more info!
